Overview
The BRS member organization was formed in 1992 with a specific goal of making a cost—effective connection between small businesses and Employee Benefit Services. Employers with a desire to provide employees with Employee Benefit Plan packages comparable to those at larger companies needed to do so at competitive rates.
As our members grew in number, BRS began developing a group of affiliated services and products designed to adapt large business practices to small businesses that required a different versatility, flexibility and direct benefit to the bottom line. Currently, there are over 2,500 businesses that are members (this includes self-employed).
We’ve formed strong relationships with over 100+ health insurance brokers licensed to sell health products in Vermont. This enables us to provide distribution to small businesses throughout the state.
Who we Serve
BRS welcomes all Vermont businesses and industries, including non-profit organizations. While we service businesses that are small to medium size, many of our members have fewer than 10 employees. We support the unique quality of small businesses and appreciate the opportunity to help them reach their goals. Working together to do business smarter is what BRS is all about.
In 2001 we changed our name from Business Review Services to Business Resource Services and our logo to more accurately reflect our evolution and future plans.
